What is a multi-currency account and how does it work?

You can hold, receive, send, and spend money using a Relem multi-currency account. You can hold more than 50 currencies, and convert between them at the real exchange rate whenever you need.

A multi-currency account is just what it sounds like. It’s a type of bank account that allows you to send, receive, and hold more than one currency. Rather than opening several bank accounts with different account numbers to keep track of, a multi-currency account allows you to use a single account number for each currency type.

How to Set up your first transfer?

We’ll ask for some personal details to create your account and verify your identity.
Electronic verification keeps things moving before we give you a call to make sure you’re good to go.
Tell us the amount you want to send, or what your recipient needs to receive and see your rate.
You’ll be notified when funds hit our intermediary account. Track your transfer online, in-app or via SMS.

Getting started with Relem

Set up your transaction - Tell us the amount and currency you will transfer in to be exchanged - Check the accepted Currency.
Set up your transaction - Fill in the banks details for new recipients or select your recipient.
Set up your transaction - Tell us how you will transfer money to your CurrencyFair account.
Transfer in money to your account Once you transfer in money to your account, we will exchange it at rates up to 8x cheaper than the banks and transfer out to your recipient without delay.
